Throat and Trachea (Windpipe) Diseases

       The inflammation that starts in the throat, can expand to trachea. In that case mucous membrane starts to swell, the body temperature rises up, stimulation of the cough begins and also, the feeling of hard breathing. At the begginig the cough is dry then it becomes wet. This all can be caused by: catarrh, using cold drinks, cigars, shouting, dust.

       This inflammation can lasts for short period of time or longer when it becomes chronically. In the first case the inflammation can be caused by germ propagation, while in the other case the cause could be earlier inflammations or specific diseases like tuberculosis for example.

       How to cure:

       1) When it becomes serious, use stupe and compress it on the throat. The stupe can be made of mustard powder (put one handful of powder into the lukewarm water, mix it and then moist the kerchief). Hold the srupe for 5 - 10 minutes, twice a day - in the morning and in the evening.

       2) Use the fruit potion to calm the pain:

           a) Raspberry or raspberry juice,

           b) dried figs or dried grapes works good against the cough

       3) Put your legs into the water mixed with one spoon of mustard powder.

       4) Drink warm violet tea (blossoms)

       5) As a windpipe disinfection means use eucalyptus leaves to make syrup or to inhale the
           steam. Prepare the syrup like this:

       Cut the eucalyptus leaves into small pieces - 10. grams and use boiled water - 150. grams. Leave it for 12. hours, then strain it, and then make a syrup out of this tea: 100. grams of tea and 180. grams of sugar boil together till you get syrup and use 3 - 4 spoons a day.

       or:

        - Buy eucalyptus oli...........5. grams,
        - use alcohol (90%)..........75. grams,
        - boiled water...................170. grams.
